Oil Spill Creating Jobs- Want to help? Florida has a oil spill job website.

As the gulf oil spill continues to grow, it will actually create jobs. Sure, this is not the job stimulus we are looking for but it is a reality. Actually, the jobs to clean up the gulf may be some of the most important jobs created in Florida in years. Why? If the oil takes over our beaches, our already fragile tourism industry will take a huge hit. Some of the jobs will be located in Orlando, but most will be near the spill area.

Governor Charlie Crist has a new oil spill jobs website called www.floridagulfrecoveryjobs.com.

As this site grows in popularity, it will give those seeking jobs a great resource to see what companies are hiring. Most of the companies will be contracted to clean up the mess.

Jobs open today:

Oil Spill cleanup Laborers
General Labor
Site Supervisors
Dozer Operators
Hazardous removal Workers (20.00- 30.00 hour)
Marine Specialists
Community Responders
Vessel Site Inspectors
Crew Leaders

In addition, you can expect to see jobs in transportation, wildlife cleanup, logistics, food services, mechanical, construction and many more. The challenge for those from Central Florida may be housing in the area of the clean up.

OrlandoJobs.com will keep you posted to any information we get. We need to get this mess cleaned up!
